The All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Society of Physicians of Restorative Medicine, Medical Rehabilitation, Balneology, and Physiotherapy” is organizing the 1st International Congress “Physiotherapy. Therapeutic Exercise. Rehabilitation,” which will take place on October 26-27, 2015, in Moscow. Today, medical rehabilitation is not just the prescription of any exercises after discharge from the hospital or a course of physiotherapy at the end of the inpatient period. It is one of the most important areas, whose successful development becomes possible only when the efforts of all specialists in various fields of clinical medicine are effectively united. It is precisely the comprehensive approach that allows a patient to recover completely, rather than partially. The success of treatment depends both on an accurately established diagnosis and on the optimally selected and carried out treatment, as well as proper and timely rehabilitation.
Until recently in Russia, medical rehabilitation had not been given much importance; this stage was largely formal. That is why it is so important that the global community has recognized the role of rehabilitation in the comprehensive treatment of patients. This Congress is a long-awaited event in the field of restorative medicine. Its distinctive feature is that this professional forum covers all aspects of rehabilitation. Most events on this topic are held on narrowly specialized themes with an emphasis on one disease. The scientific program is designed so that every participant will have the opportunity to discuss their own developments in medical rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, and physiotherapy with colleagues.
Leading specialists in the fields of medical rehabilitation, manual therapy, pediatrics, traumatology, orthopedics, surgery, rheumatology, balneology, physiotherapy, therapeutic exercise, and sports medicine will take part in the Congress with presentations and master classes.
