On December 18, 2024, the Conference of the Union “National Medical Chamber” was held under the chairmanship of the NMC President Leonid Mikhailovich Roshal.
The President of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Society of Physicians of Restorative Medicine, Medical Rehabilitation, Balneologists and Physiotherapists,” President of the National Spa Association, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Nikolaevich Razumov, delivered a report on the activities of the All-Russian Public Organization “Russian Society of Physicians of Restorative Medicine, Medical Rehabilitation, Balneologists and Physiotherapists” for 2024.
The conference participants, members of the NMC, unanimously approved the work done in 2024 and, in general, the active activities of the Society and the National Spa Association.
The National Medical Chamber will provide all possible support in resolving the existing problems of Russia’s health resort industry:
PROTECTION IS NEEDED FOR THE HEALTH RESORT INDUSTRY
- Ensure equal competitive conditions for health resort organizations by establishing a special taxation procedure similar to that for other medical organizations;
- Exclude from clause 1 of Article 284.1 of Federal Law No. 395 of 12/28/2010 “On Amendments to Part Two of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation” the wording “At the same time, activities related to health resort treatment are not classified as medical activities”;
- Restore crediting of medical service length of service for doctors and nursing staff of health resort organizations, as it was before November 1, 1999;
- Introduce the course “Balneology” into higher education programs for the training of doctors of all specialties;
- Expand continuing education cycles for doctors and nursing staff in the health resort industry;
- Make a number of significant changes to the new draft Procedure for Health Resort Treatment.
